North Texas Council formed: Cameron Smith, OD, named chairman
TSO Doctors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and surrounding areas have formed a new North Texas Council and have elected Cameron Smith, OD, Mansfield, to serve as chairman for 2010.
The decision to form a council was determined at a meeting held on January 17 in Plano. The North Texas Council has been established as an information sharing group and will not be involved in the pursuit of collective marketing and/or advertising efforts.
It was decided that quarterly meeatings would be held with the purpose of updating doctors with TSO Network news, programs, promotions, and events. In addition, time will be included to enable doctors to share with each other Practice Management best practices.
Doctors in attendance at the January 17th meeting included:
Dr. Matthew Barber, Fort Worth; Dr. Robert Gracey, Cleburne; Dr. Beth Anderson, Wylie; Dr. Cameron Smith, Mansfield; Dr. Jerry King, Longview; Dr. William Fan, Grand Prairie; Dr. Nitin Patel, Farmers Branch; Dr. Monty Banks, Stephenville; and Dr. Claudette Galen, Paris. A number of office staff also were present.
Look for an announcement for the next meeting to be scheduled in the second quarter of 2010.
